merry christmas and a murray chimmas to you all, my dears. as tradition, I'll recount the gifts Ive received so far! I'll be spending christmas night with my mom's side of the family, so I'll update this post in the near future! :)
coach clutch, laundry money in quarters, and $50 to american eagle from my aunt nancy (she's wonderful!)
$80 cash from aunts sue and margie and uncles bill and bill combined
kathy van zeeland black bag from kristen and bryce
aerie tiny bird earrings from kristen (ive been wanting bird earrings for ever!)
chocolate covered peanut bruttles from kristen
aerie bra, h&m rugby polo, work shirt, socks from mom
star trek 2009 dvd and sunny in philly season 4 dvd from mom
clothes from the gap from aunts laurie and ellen and uncles joe and mario (I dont like the gap much at all)
thermal pj's and a sweater/scarf from my grandmom (the gap clothes were thermals too, it was weird)
christmas dinner with the entire family on my mom's side was really enjoyable.
now I have 21 hours of work in the next 48 hours. joy and amusement. feh.

so Ive been home for quite a bit now. its lost its charm. the main thing is that Im earning money, which is awesome.
that is to say, if it werent holiday season. Ive been working my butt off and my feet took a beating. glad I had a couple days off to rest. I had a really awesome workweek where I picked up 3 shifts, over 10 hours - the week came to 34 hours. this week I think I got about 29? with picking up a shift. so Im doing alright.
even with the spending for gifts. all in all, I really dont mind.. I enjoy finding gifts for people that I know they will enjoy. the gift of giving does feel good. I have 2 gifts apiece for my sister and mom, and one for a friend who told me tonight he got me something. also got myself another shirt - because it was designed by SCAD, for dexter, and it was free shipping day! I couldnt resist.
in other news, been watching a lot of movies lately. up, wall-e, the men who stare at goats, fantastic mr. fox, star trek (again), and the darjeeling limited. this might upset people. but I didnt really enjoy up that much, if at all. nice concept. thats where it ended.
